Glendower was formed in 1972 providing a local regrinding service on HSS and carbide cutting tools and by the late 1970ís had progressed to manufacturing throwaway inserts for milling from bought in blanks.
The 1980ís saw a significant investment in the latest technology available which enabled the Company to produce sintered blanks in-house from spray dried powders which were then machined on CNC insert grinders.
To compliment this activity the Company acquired a CNC spark erosion machine to produce all the necessary punches and dies needed for producing the blanks in-house.
Other CNC technology was added during the early 1990ís including several CNC machines to compliment and extend the Companyís grinding capacity of special forms, tooth configurations on solid Carbide saws, and threading inserts.
Other technological improvements include developing their own in-house facility for producing diamond wheels to machine any required form on any style of insert.
To back up the finished product the Company has invested in a CNC Laser Marking System enabling all manufactured products to be clearly identified and presented in a professional manner.
The Company is also able to offer a quality tooling package for all necessary bodies and work holding equipment associated with all metal cutting processes i.e. turning, milling, threading and drilling etc.
All customer special requirements are drawn on our latest CAD SolidWorks software and submitted for approval and discussion so the customer liaison process is adopted at an early stage.
